Microsoft is offering up to $650 for consumers hoping to trade in an existing MacBook for a surface Book or Surface Pro 4. It was announced after Apple introduced their latest line of laptops earlier in the same week.
Microsoft unveiled the surface Book i7 on Wednesday which is claimed to have twice the graphics performance than the other surface Book and three times the performance of last year’s 13-inch MacBook Pro, according to AppleInsider.
Microsoft is enticing MacBook owners to surrender their laptops to get the extra value to buy the new surface laptop. According to TechCrunch, “97-percent of people that have a Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book use on-screen touch input regularly.” They want more users to experience that through this new offer.
Interestingly, excluded from the offer is the Surface Studio, a 28-inch all-in-one desktop that tilts flat.
The trade-in runs through November 10th at Microsoft’s retail and online stores in the US.
