We’re all looking forward to seeing the new MacBook Pro that Apple could most probably be unveiling later this month. Some of the features we might not be seeing are the laptop’s regular USB ports as well as Apple’s MagSafe connector. These are a few of the things that a new rumour states. Apple is also rumoured to be planning to discontinue the 11-inch MacBook Air laptop.
Macotakara, a Japanese website which is well-known for being a reliable source of Apple rumours, including the report of the iPhone 7 losing the headphone jack, now announces that the latest MacBook Pro will be introduced to the world at an event later this month.
Apple’s new MacBook Pro is anticipated to be available in the usual 15.4- and 13.3-inch choices, identical to that of the previous MacBook Pro laptops. One of the biggest potential changes is that the device could switch to the new USB-C type, just like the 12-inch Retina MacBook. This could mean that the regular USB ports and Apple’s classic MagSafe connector will be out of business.
Macotakar also states that the MacBook Air range will not be discontinued by Apple anytime soon, however, the 11-inch model could be taken off shelves, putting more priority on the 13.3-inch MacBook Air. This could be very possible, due to the fact that the 12-inch MacBook is available and Apple has been benefiting from its positive sales. Additionally, the latest generation MacBook Pro could also boast an updated design, consisting of an OLED touch bar sitting right above the keyboard. Previous rumours assume that Apple will introduce the laptop with Touch ID, making it the first Mac device to consist of the feature, empowering users with the ability to log in by simply using their fingerprint.
