After Facebook-owned social media, Instagram blatantly ripped off Snapchats Stories feature earlier this year, it looks like Facebook hasn’t had enough yet. Facebook is currently testing a Snapchat story feature in their messenger app.
You guessed it, Messenger Day is a feature that lets you post pictures and videos with a filter. The videos will be permanently gone after 24 hours.
At the moment the feature isn’t available anywhere in the world but Poland, yes Poland. TheNextWeb thinks that they are testing it in Poland because Snapchat isn’t used a lot but Messenger is.
A Facebook spokesperson told TechCrunch: “We know that people come to Messenger to share everyday moments with friends and family. In Poland we are running a small test of new ways for people to share those updates visually. We have nothing more to announce at this time.”
It seems like Snapchat is getting used by Facebook after Facebook failed to purchase Snapchat some years ago. What do you think? Will Snapchat do something to stop facebook from copying them? Let us know in the comments down below and make sure to connect with us on social media!
