One of Germany’s leading car manufacturers, BMW, is preparing to introduce the latest variant of it’s well-known and unique i3 electric car. Rumours state that the updated model will be launched sometime next year. The main elements that the company is reportedly concentrating on is the car’s drive range as well as a facelifted design.
In terms of the design of the new i3, BMW will most probably tweak the front and rear of the body. Internal elements could also be improved and the company may also enhance the car’s specs with a brand-new battery. This could be a move in order for the car’s drive range to be essentially developed – this time a lot better than the current i3’s 300 km maximum. However, the increase in the range could potentially be below 50 percent.
Only around about 25,000 BMW i3s were bought last year, and it is kind of questionable for the company to roll out an updated electric car which may or may not be the best business move at the current time.
Do you think the 2017 BMW i3 will be good enough?
