It’s quite annoying when you’re using an app but can’t exactly do much when your mobile device doesn’t have an Internet connection. Google have decided to implement a smart feature regarding this issue on their Google Photos app. Thanks to the app’s latest update, you’ll now be able to use its offline animation creation.
When your smartphone or tablet isn’t connected to the Internet, you will have the ability to still use Google Photos to create a new animation. All you need to do is tap the ‘Assistant’ tab in order to pick between 2 to 50 photos. Thereafter, you’ll be able to enjoy making a GIF-like creation without any connection to the Internet. Once you’re done, the new animation will be stored locally – however, it will be stored on Google’s cloud servers once you are connected to the Internet, whether it is via your mobile data plan or WiFi.
It might not be a major update, but it is somewhat very useful, considering how lots of animation/creative apps require the Internet in order to do basic things. Don’t forget that Google introduced lots of additional features to the Google Photos app; elements such as permanent album contents sorting, as well as tweaks for sharing multiple photos. What’s more is that a couple of weeks back, the company rolled out a “throwback” feature so that it automatically displays older photos regarding subjects which are portrayed in newer photos. Now that Google has the ball rolling with the Google Photos app, we could be seeing lots more interesting and innovative features very soon.
Does this new feature suit your needs or is it not really necessary? We’d love to know, so why not start a discussion below? Also, be sure to follow us on any of our social media pages so you can stay instantly updated on all the latest tech news on a daily basis without costing you a penny!
