Google’s Daydream VR headset was announced on October 4th and it seemed like the only device that was compatible with it were the Google Pixel and Pixel XL devices. Google did say that there were more phones coming that will support Daydream but we did not know how long we will have to wait. But today, it turns out we know that the Moto Z and Moto Z Force will be the first pair of phones that will be joining the Pixel family and support the VR headset. So far not all Motorola’s are working with Daydream, if you are an owner of a Moto  of Z Force, you will have to wait until 7.o Nougat update comes to your phone. The update is worldwide so everyone will get a chance to try out the new feature, not only US citizens. Each carrier will decide when they want to release the update.

It is great to see Google go out of its way to support other devices, so far all we’ve seen is companies make VR headsets for their own devices. Having the Daydream View work with more than one device lets us know that, maybe in the future we do not have to buy a separate VR for every device we own.
