After Samsung pay launched in South-Korea initially, people from countries all over the world have been waiting to get the company’s wireless paying service. But today, UK Samsung users were disappointed after The Telegraph confirmed that Samsung Pay will be coming to the UK in 2017.
Originally Samsung confirmed that Samsung Pay would come to the UK in 2016, but according to The Telegraph, this has been delayed due to extended negotiations with UK banks.
You might be questioning why some people need Samsung Pay if they already have Android Pay, and that is because of one big advantage that Samsung Pay has over Android Pay. Samsung Pay allows you to pay at non-contactless terminals. This is because Samsung Pay uses a system which is very similar to the magnetic strip on debit and credit cards. Another reason is because Android Pay doesn’t work with Samsung smartwatches and other wearables.
So for any UK citizens waiting for Samsung Pay, this is disappointing. Let us know what you think of Samsung delaying Samsung Pay in the comments down below, and make sure you connect with us on social media!
