Some months ago Google released the Android Nougat operating system, aka Android 7.0. Sadly, Android still has a lot of phones which still haven’t received the updated yet, and some phones will never even get it. Finally, Samsung announced that they will start an Android Nougat Beta program in the UK and the US on November 9.
The phones that will be able to participate are the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. But not all S7 phones can participate. In the US you’ll need to have a T-Mobile, Sprint or Verizon device. S7s from AT&T will probably not be able to join the Beta program, as well as the Batman and Olympic Edition Galaxy S7 devices.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to get Nougat Beta you’ll need to complete some simple tasks first. First, you will need a Samsung account, but most Samsung owners have one of those. Then go to the Galaxy Apps for your Galaxy device and download an app called Galaxy Beta Program. Finally, go to the Registration menu inside the application and then submit that you want to participate in the Beta Program.
Samsung stated that the Beta program will go on until December. Sometime after that, Android Nougat updates will probably roll out to all S7 devices.
If you have a qualified phone will you join this Beta program? Or do you already have a device with Android 7.0? Let us know in the comments below!
