Almost two years ago, WhatsApp launched an all new calling system, where you could call your family and friends for free over an internet connection. But it’s time for something fresh, so the WhatsApp team decided to add a video calling feature, much like FaceTime.

This new video calling feature has been rolled out to WhatsApp’s millions of users today. There’s not much to it, you see the other person. There’s a mute button and a camera switch button. The call doesn’t end once you join a different chat.

But how do you use this function? You open a chat, press on the little phone icon, and choose video calling.

WhatsApp has had a really good and productive year, do you agree? Let us know in the comments down below and make sure to connect with us on social media!
