If you carry your computer to work in the morning, and back in the evening, you probably want a laptop that is as light and portable as possible. At the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas, ASUS unveiled their ultralight 14-inch Windows 10 laptop today. The ASUSPro B9440 is weighs 2.31 pounds (roughly 1 kilo). ASUS claims that it’s the lightest notebook in the business class. Although it has a full HD 14-inch display, the body is just 12.6-inches wide.
One of the materials for the alloy used in the computer was magnesium, which is very lightweight. The B9440 is also light because of the thin bezels. The computer’s performance is decent, despite its compact size. It will come with 16GB of RAM and the seventh-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU. The 512GB of solid-state storage is pretty impressive as well. The keyboard is tilted, which makes writing for a long time more comfortable. The ASUSPro B9440 is expected to be shipped to customers in May this year, for a price of $999.
