The Swedish company Kronaby has released two new hybrid watches with an unusual trick up their sleeve. While most smartwatches nowadays have about 2 days of battery life, Kronaby’s watch will be able to survive for around two years!
Instead of charging this watch you replace the battery. You may not want to replace the battery every time a normal smartwatch runs out of juice, but keep in mind that you’ll just need to do this one time every two years. It’s much easier to swap battery every 2 years than to charge every two days.
When someone says “smartwatch” you probably think of an Apple watch or an Android Wear watch with a touch display, but that’s not the case this time. This device is a mix between a traditional watch and a smartwatch. You control the watch with the buttons on the side instead of a touch screen. This means that Kronaby looks completely like a traditional watch on the outside. The things you can do with this hybrid watch are: controlling music, get notifications, alarms, and alerts. This device will also be able to track your steps. Then you’ll be able to view your progress in the app for Android and iOS.[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez8kI0VW4rM]
You can buy these watches on Kronaby’s website. There are many different models of these watches, so you’ll probably find one you like. Kronaby will start to ship these watches at the end of March to Europe and The UK, but not to the US. Do you want to buy a Kronaby watch? Do you prefer smartwatches, hybrids or traditional watches?
