Self-driving cars are becoming a new trend and Nissan is joining in. According to Reuters, Nissan is planning to demonstrate its self-driving cars in London next month. If this report is actually true then it will be the first time Nissan has tested self-driving cars in Europe. The Japanese automaker said that it would be manufacturing two cars in the UK which in a way will strengthen its relationship with the country.
“With future models secured and cutting-edge innovation being developed right here in the U.K., we’re looking forward to a strong future of designing, engineering, and manufacturing in the country for customers right across the world”- Nissan Europe Chairman Paul Willcox.
Passengers, government officials, safety and technical personnel will experience the test of this innovative concept in a spacious and live environment. Also, there will be someone sitting in the driver seat in case of emergency.
This is not the first time Nissan is testing its driverless vehicle, they began testing its archetype in October last year on public roads.
Also, the government of UK has sent out their encouraging message to automakers who wish to test autonomous vehicle in the country.
