If you want to talk with a voice assistant like the Google Home or the Amazon Echo, you’ll need to be pretty close to it, so if you live in a big house you may need to walk to the other side of your home to give the assistant any orders. Instead of doing that you’ll probably just take your phone out of your pocket and send a message yourself, instead of walking to your assistant and tell her to do it for you. NVIDIA’s new product, the Spot, is now here to solve that problem. The NVIDIA Spot will let you control your Google Assistant by talking to your Spots, which you can place everywhere in your home.
However, there are two cons with this product. The first one is that you will need to have NVIDIA’s new Shield TV, which was announced today at CES 2017, as your central hub. The second con is the price. One Spot costs $50, so it will be expensive to put them in every room of your home. So if you own some NVIDIA Spots (and be willing to pay $50 for each unit) and a Shield TV, you will be able to use the Google Assistant easier than ever before. Do you want to buy some Spots? Do you have any voice controlled assistant?
