We’ve all been there, trying to get extra storage added to a certain device because it is out. While there have been some alternatives for adding storage in a hurry, most of them require extra steps. Thankfully, a company by the name of Fasetto unveiled a new device at CES 2017 called the Link, and it’ll give you an additional 2TB of storage while also being a WiFi hotspot.
The Link can connect to any device, and can stream video, images, and audio straight to it. Because of the streaming feature, it includes Samsung NVMe SSD storage and an octa-core 2.1GHz Exynos 7420 processor. There is also WiFi, Bluetooth and USB-C connections for charging and wired data transfer. As mentioned above, the device can also work as a WiFi hotspot, thanks to the included LTE Module.
The whole unit is a two-inch wide, one-inch tall IP8 waterproof and shock resistant cube that only weighs in as little as three ounces, depending on the options.
The only downside, the pricing. The 2TB version will set you back $1,149 while the 256GB model will cost $349. There is also an additional $149 fee for the optional LTE module. It is supposed to arrive sometime in the spring of 2017, and you can pre-order one right now.
