Tesla has now released their new update of their Autopilot, according to Elon Musk’s Twitter account. The update is available for all HW2 Model S and Model X cars, but of course, they’ll need to have enabled their Autopilot. Some cars’ camera must be modified and your car will tell you if you have one of those vehicles. But you shall not do it yourself, a Tesla technician will do it for you.
The update will not let you sit back and relax while your car is driving by itself. This will make your car more like semi-self-driving, which means that the vehicle will assist you and make driving easier. The Autosteer will be improved so it’ll work better on hard roads. If you are driving behind a slow car on the highway, the Autopilot will be able to change the lane automatically.
If you are testing these features on the road it’s recommended to keep your hands on the steering wheel, in case that something weird happens. Do you trust autonomous cars? Make sure to leave your thoughts below!
