That’s right, it’s official. Apple’s new campus that everyone has been calling “Campus 2” will be opening this upcoming April bearing the name Apple Park. When the first renders and drone videos arose almost everyone thought the same thing, Spaceship? Not a Spaceship but a 100% renewable energy powered headquarters for Apple to run operations. As TechnoBuffalo reports, this new “175-acre” park that includes an auditorium to seat 1,000 and is appropriately named after Steve Jobs will house “12,000 Apple employees”.
Solar panels line the roof, the “world’s largest panels of curved glass” occupy the walls and 9,000 trees create a very natural and creative atmosphere for employees to thrive in. Apple Park sets a new bar for how companies’ headquarters can be, according to Apple, it is just what Steve wanted.
Steven Paul Jobs would be turning 62 this Friday, this is a perfect time for Apple to share with the public more details on their new project, as well as honoring Steve with the Steve Jobs Auditorium.
