The smartphone above is BlackBerry’s latest attempt at staying in the mobile industry. We’ve seen many stories pop up about this smartphone previously but Chinese smartphone producer TCL has officially unveiled the device to the world.

BlackBerry, a company which was once standing with top-flight smartphone manufacturers, is currently struggling to stay on its feet – but with the introduction of the KeyOne, BlackBerry is giving itself another opportunity to stand up again.

TCL has partnered-up with BlackBerry to manufacture smartphones, promising to enhance the devices produced. Well-known for its budget TVs, TCL also manufactures smartphones under the name of Alcatel, another smartphone brand.

Focusing on the new device, BlackBerry’s KeyOne boasts the infamous QWERTY keyboard placed neatly below the touchscreen (size yet to be confirmed). One really smart thing that TCL have decided to do with the phone is, install a fingerprint sensor on the space bar – not only does the KeyOne consist of fingerprint technology, it’s space bar acts as both a button and a sensor.

A Snapdragon 625 processor does the computing for the KeyOne, which on top, features Android Nougat 7.1. Alex Thurber, the company’s Senior VP, has promised security updates to be rolled out on a monthly basis┬áso that the smartphones are safe and secure. An interesting move that BlackBerry and TCL have done this time is that they’ve stuck a 3,505 mAh battery into the KeyOne – that is the largest battery ever offered by a BackBerry device, but it could be just right considering how powerful the specs of this smartphone are turning out to appear. We don’t know the full spec sheet just
