DJI, a giant in the world of drones, has announced this week that it is launching a new app for Apple TV. The app empowers users to view aerial content as well as 4K videos recorded by drones from across the globe – yes, it’s pretty much a drone version of YouTube.
“We’ve made flying and capturing aerial footage easy with our drones, and now with the DJI Smart TV App, creators will have more ways to share their work with the world. This is really an opportunity for people to be inspired, intrigued, travel to places they would have never imagined and see the world in a whole new way,” – Paul Pan, Senior Product Manager.
It can be used to watch and even upload footage captured by drones, which can be seen by many other users via the app. Based on the fact that this is a brand-new app that has been launched by DJI, they have curated a range of categories of video content right now so they can get the ball rolling.
The app is available to download on Apple’s fourth-generation Apple TV via the tvOS App Store, and also ready to be downloaded on Samsung’s Tizen TVs.
