South Korea-based company Samsung has revealed a patent application which shows a smartwatch with a built-in camera, wristband display and a tablet with a bendable display. The patents were filed in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The built-in camera could be helpful for people who don’t want to spend a lot of time taking a photo or to take a quick selfie. According to a report, Samsung did not reveal many of the features the wearable device will have. The patent document however, indicates that the wearable device features a camera lens in the centre of the watch. Also, the document specifies that the smartwatch will support optical Zoom capabilities.
The diagram in the patent document also reveals that the wristband display will work like the edge panel of the Galaxy S8. The wristband has features like music, gallery, message, alarm and others. This will help people in accessing their application and messages quickly.
