Some photos of what is said to be screen protectors for the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, and if they’re real we have a pretty good idea of what the front of the upcoming devices will look like. The Pixel 2 will be quite similar to the original Pixel device while its larger sibling will have some more design changes, according to these photos. It does also seem like the smaller of the two smartphones will have the largest bezels. The images show us that both will have their selfie camera on the top left corners and none of them will have a physical home button. The Pixel 2 will also come with at least one front-facing stereo speaker as well as an aspect ratio of 16:9.
As mentioned before, the Pixel 2 XL seems to be following one of the biggest smartphone trends of 2017, which is minimal bezels. The 18:9 aspect ratio of this device makes it taller than the Pixel 2, and its earpiece does also seem to be smaller.
HTC will manufacture the Pixel 2 while the Pixel 2 XL will be made by LG Electronics, according to recent reports. Reports also claim that the devices will feature HTC’s Edge Sense and Bombass technologies, and they will also come with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There will also be variants with more storage for those who need it. The release date is October 4th, so remember to check our website then!
