The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were released not too long ago and they came with many new features. For example, the new generation of Pixel phones features a redesigned launcher. If you’re a big fan of the new software features, but can’t afford the Pixel 2 or 2 XL, we have good news for you. Thanks to Android Police, the launcher can now be downloaded to any phone with Android Lollipop or Above.
The Google search bar only has a G on it instead of the whole name, and the grey bar is also moved to the bottom because it’s easier to reach. Another awesome upgrade is the new At A Glance Widget. It shows the date, time, weather, and your upcoming events synced with your calendar. However, the weather info will be smaller and the date removed if the widget needs to show any event. Clicking on the weather or event will launch Google Calendar respectively Google Weather applications.
Other minor features include that the app drawer show some more apps than before, a new opening animation of folders, the clock app’s icon changes depending on what the time is, as well as some other design changes. This launcher isn’t game-changing, but it looks cleaner and has more useful features than before.
You can download the APK via APK Mirror here. Remember that the Google Feed function will only work on non-Pixel devices if you download it as a system application. Will you download it?
