Instagram is a huge social media platform with 500 million daily active users as of September 2017. It enables people to share their pictures and express their opinions and feelings as well as comment and like other posts, whilst following their favourite accounts for some eye candy.
The app has taken the world by storm, and even the news recently, with identical features to its rival – Snapchat. Likes and comments matter to some people, so they use hashtags, to connect with a broader audience. Usually, you would have to search for them and see what new content is available within; however, with the release of Instagram’s latest update, you can follow them instead!
To follow a hashtag, you simply search it up or tap on a hashtag which has appeared on your timeline. You are then greeted by a pop-up, informing you of the new feature. From there on, you can scroll down and navigate through the relevant content posted by millions of users all around the world!
Followed hashtags will be available for people to see your profile and vice versa. With this, you can view followed hashtags on your friends’ account and always have something to keep your eyes on! The feature has just been released in the latest update from the Play Store.
