Chances are when someone thinks of smart security devices, such as doorbells, people will mention Ring, which is one of the most well-known company’s in the market currently. To gain on that momentum, the company is at CES displaying new products.
First up is the new Ring Stick Up Cam, which is available in two models, the Cam Elite or a regular model. The new model also offers a sleeker and smaller design than the outgoing one. No matter what model you get, both will offer a 1080p HD video webcam, alongside two-way audio. When looking at the Elite, it will require a wall outlet or power over Ethernet rather than batteries, as it includes advanced motion sensors.
Ring also recently acquired a company by the name of Mr. Beams, which focused on outdoor lighting solutions. Because of the acquisition, Ring is announcing motion-activated outdoor security lights to line the pathway, as well as step lights and spotlights for the exterior of users homes. Essentially, Ring is simply rebranding Mr. Beams NetBright Path Lights. There is no mention of outstanding Mr. Beams systems will work with Ring’s system, however.
Alongside the announcement of the new products, Ring also announced their new DIY home security system, which made its first debut last year in October.
Pricing and availability of Ring’s new products have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to start shipping later in the spring.
