One of the great advantages of home security is having the ability to see what is going on inside your house at any given time. However, placing the security cameras can be a pain. Thankfully, home security company SkyBell took the stage at CES 2018 to announce a new security camera, which plugs directly into a wall outlet, to give users better opportunities to place the device.

The SkyBell Plug-in features a 1080p HD camera alongside a 180-degree field of view. Additionally, the integrated microphone and speaker allows for two-way conversations, by simply pressing the button on the top of the device.

There is also Google Home support, which can be used to trigger a picture or start a video recording. Furthermore, there is also IFTTT and SmartThings support, for easy smart home automation. Interestingly, if users have a SkyBell D doorbell, the Plug-in can act as a chime when someone rings.

The only disappointing thing about the device is the price, which retails for $199 when it launches sometime in the next couple of months.
