Earlier this week, Activision, the publisher of the Call Of Duty games put the gaming world’s speculation to rest after it announced that this year’s variant of the video game will be named Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4. We now understand that they’ve confirmed the release date of the game.
It is said to be currently under development by Treyarch, a company owned by Activision and the same developer that produced the previous Black Ops games. There hasn’t been a lot of information about Black Ops 4 shared just yet, but the game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as PC. It would be interesting to see if they do have a copy for the Nintendo Switch as reports suggested, but there isn’t anything written in black and white at the moment.
May 17th is the day that Activision has promised to announce more details of the new game including the final title. So there probably won’t be much of a chance of hearing any news regarding it anytime soon. However, you can mark your calendar for October 12th, as the company will be rolling the game out to stores near you. Most enthusiasts may notice that the date is slightly earlier than Activision’s usual release period for Call Of Duty games, but it would be odd to see gamers protesting about it.
Will you be getting your hands on one later this year?
