Samsung decided to launch the Gear Sport smartwatch instead of releasing a successor to the Gear S3 last year, but there could be some promising stuff happening later this year.
A report from SamMobile suggests that we could be seeing the Samsung Gear S4 in 2018, as the company is thought to be developing the device at the current time. The new smartwatch is expected to come with a large variety of health features like more in-depth sleep tracking. There is also speculation that the device will sport upgrades to its battery life, RAM, and potentially its processor too.
The Gear line by Samsung started back in 2013 and it has been enjoying a lot of positive spotlight from the tech world even though the South Korean giant chose not to adopt Google’s Android Wear (or now known as “Wear OS”) for it’s wearable operating system.
Like in most cases, it is way too early to know for sure when the Samsung Gear S4 will be officially announced, but we could possibly see it roll-out alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which is rumoured to be released in July.
Are you looking forward to get your hands on the Gear S4 and the Note 9?
