When it comes to planning a group trip, life gets a little bit tricky. But thanks to Skype, the process has become a lot more simple. A group trip typically has each individual involved with their own idea of the destination, the activities, and the free time they have on their hands. But getting everything written in black and white seems to be the difficult part for most people and Microsoft wants to cut that issue out for its Skype users.
Microsoft has confirmed that Skype has been empowered with the ability to now support add-ins from StubHub and TripAdvisor. The company said that “The TripAdvisor add-in for Skype lets you tap into the world’s largest travel site from your group chat to help plan a trip. With the new TripAdvisor add-in, you can instantly share information with your group about where to stay, what to do, and where to eat with friends.”
On StubHub’s side, the add-in is essentially for removing the complexities of preparing activities and events in the whole planning process. Things like finding and booking tickets for an upcoming event, as well as sharing key information about the event with fellow users in a Skype group. This now means that you won’t need to exit Skype or keep switching from one browser to another, instead, just keep everything including messages stored in one Skype chat.
At the moment, the new add-ins can be accessed via Skype for Mac as well as Skype for mobile. If you’re a Windows 10 user, Microsoft is currently working on the rollout of the update to you, so stay tuned.
